For Career Fairs hosted on our Lincoln Park Campus:

Parking is very limited on the Lincoln Park Campus. In order to alleviate parking congestion, public transportation or arrival by taxicab is STRONGLY recommended. Directions for arriving by Chicago's public transportation system (the CTA) can be found here.

If these transportation options are not available to you, parking is available at the Clifton Parking Deck (2330 N. Clifton Avenue) and the Sheffield Parking Deck (2331 N. Sheffield Avenue). (2) complimentary parking vouchers are included in the cost of registration and will be distributed at employer check-in. However, please note that garage spaces are limited and not guaranteed. If your group parks more than two vehicles, you will need to park at the Clifton Parking Deck and validate your ticket at the Student Center information desk (same location as fair). You will receive the $8 DePaul rate on your way out of the parking garage. As a participant in a Career Center sponsored the event, you are eligible for this reduced rate.

For Career Fairs hosted on our Loop Campus:

There are no DePaul owned parking garages on our Loop Campus. However, below is a list of parking garages close to the Loop Campus and commonly utilized by University visitors.

  • Monroe Street Garage (underground): 250 East Monroe Street
  • Crosstown Auto Park: 328 South Wabash
  • Auditorium Garage: 65 East Congress
  • General Parking Corporation: 55 East Monroe
  • CNA Building: 311 South Wabash
  • University Self Park: 54 South Wabash
  • Mid City Parking: 219 South Wabash

Each employer will have one 6 foot by 30 inch table with a small company sign and two chairs. You may bring tabletop displays that can fit comfortably on or around your table. Your table assignment will be given to you upon your arrival. A plastic table cover will be provided upon request.

Below are three tips from our team to help employers be successful at our career fairs:

  • Be prepared to talk with both early talent and active internship/job seekers.  Many of our Freshman and Sophomore students will attend career fairs to begin building their professional networks and learn about potential internship/job opportunities.  While they may not be actively seeking an internship/job, engaging with them is a great way for you to build a strong on-campus brand and strengthen your talent pipeline here at DePaul.
  • Offer information beyond what’s on your website.  Job seekers have access to a lot of information and have most likely done their research on your company/organization.  Employers can stand out by providing insight not found on your website and prioritizing the 1:1 connection with job seekers.
  • Be willing to talking with job seekers from majors/programs outside of where you have typically recruited.  That job seeker studying Psychology might have great transferrable skills and be your next great hire.  Think outside of the normal majors/program box and consider the “must have” skills needed for the role.  You might just discover hidden talent that will surprise you!  Pro Tip:  Take time to review the many majors/programs available at DePaul.

Virtual Career Fair Information

All upcoming fairs being hosted virtually will take place on Handshake.

In order to meet with students, you MUST set up sessions for students to register for.  All Handshake virtual fairs have two options for employer-student engagement:

  • 30-minute Info Sessions
  • 10-minute 1:1 Sessions

Most students register for virtual fair sessions 1-2 weeks prior to the fair.  So, we highly recommend setting up your sessions schedule 2+ weeks in advance to allow students to register for them.

For reference, below are links to resources from Handshake with step-by-step instructions on how to set-up and manage your virtual fair schedule and/or sessions.
